Oral Thrush is so common in babies š¶š¼
And can be painful too ā¦ š£
So what is Thrush? š¤·āāļø
It appears as white patches in baby's mouth. A very common infection in the mouth of babies that is caused by a yeast like Fungus Candida Albicans.

Usually nothing serious, however it can be uncomfortable and painful. Also it can cause difficulties with feeding š¤±š¼š¼
So how can you recognize Thrush in baby/mama?
š¹ Baby has visible patches on his/her tongue, lips, gums, cheeks.
š¹ The patches look like milk or cottage cheese and cannot be wiped away.
š¹ Bottle feeding or sucking on a pacifier can be painful/uncomfortable.
š¹ The corners of babyās mouth may crack.
š¹ Mamas nipples are itchy, red, shiny and sometimes you can even see yeast on them.
āļøThere are some babies with Thrush that donāt experience any pain or discomfort.
